This feature appears to be added now - each email allows you to set a time when it will be sent when builidng a comm plan.

Announcement Publish Range
Currently you can schedule news items to publish at a certain date. It would be a nice feature to have a "Publish Until" date option, that automatically deletes a news item (or stops displaying it)...
