Yes, please. The lack of flexibility regarding payment methods in the Bookstore module is a constant headache, and this would go a long way to alleviating that.

Bookstore module - need gift card/gift certificate funcitonality
We would like the ability to sell gift cards or gift certificates to customers. Currently, the best workaround for this is to use discount codes, but this can get messy with sales tax.
