Can I ask why it has been so long in coming? If this has been a planned feature for several years at this point, what is holding it back from becoming a reality? Clearly it's a highly desired feature.

A person could be given a role that has an expiration date. This would be handy for visitors coming in to see a system, or workers who only need access once or twice a year to a particular feature.

When using the news feature, it would be great to setup certain notices, such as school closures for Labor Day, to automatically remove themselves from everybody's feed after a specific date.
