I really like the ability to add visibility filters to templates. One problem that still remains is that I cannot give a "role" to templates that are attached to a communication plan. This means that as a "registrar" I still have to scroll through all templates in order to update or use individual emails attached to a plan and this somewhat defeats the purpose of the role filter. It would be fantastic if communication plans had the same visibility filters so that a "registrar" email could be linked to a "registrar" communication plan.

Adam Sentz @Sarah - I just want to applaud you for figuring out why that limitation exists, what would be required to change it, and articulating it so concisely. 👏👏 It's trickier than it appears at first glance which is why we didn't include that functionality along with the template permissions, but the use case seems legitimate.

David Lorimer We also just ran into this. I have a ton of templates that we use only for Admissions. But in order to put them in a comm plan, they must be publicly visible. I really don't want all the staff at the college having access to my recruitment email templates. But I can't restrict their visibility to Admissions roles.
I would see this being set up as a person can add any template to a comm plan that they personally have the ability to see. But it's obvious to see how that would become complicated when editing a communication plan. So what Sarah is suggesting of having a visibility option on a comm plan, and then comm plan can see all template with that visibility is a much better idea.
