You can now remove recipients from the recipients list on the compose email page.

3. Add a new entry-level user role called User for all employees (not students) regardless of user rights so they could have email and SMS notifications.

@Sam - Perhaps you could use a tag to track them instead of the Staff role. They wouldn't receive emergency notifications, but you could target the tag via mailing lists.

@Sam - By the way, News is "soft deleted" so we can restore anything that shouldn't have been deleted in two shakes.

We added this a while ago! You can "check" students on a course roster and then choose "Email selected students" from the Actions button.
