We also have modular courses within a term with meetings times only for that week but coursework extended throughout the term. This feature would really help us, too.

We would have the same problem (of two "active" terms), but we could really use the feature for notifying faculty for getting grades early.

I would love to see this implemented! Our professors get frustrated when I tell them that I can't clone a course for them, and it would really save them a lot of time.

At least, it would be nice to be able to turn off old news. We used to be able to do it, but with the new design it seems that that feature is no longer an option.
